MetropolitanTechnologies designed the security and various technology infrastructures and network systems for this architectural restoration/renovation. On December 2, 2007, the Eldridge Street Project will celebrate the completion of the restoration of the 1887 Eldridge Street Synagogue on Manhattan's Lower East Side. The day will also mark a new chapter in the history of the Eldridge Street Project, which is being renamed the Museum at Eldridge Street. This project started in 1986. With the sensitive nature of the technology, and the fact that the congregation is not allowed to handle or see any technology upgrades, it made this a very sensitive project to design. The automation of the various systems was essential to a successful design effort.
