Metropolitan Technologies is the Technology Consultants & Designers chosen by Cape May County as part of a team of Engineers & Architects who are “on call” to assist the County with any Security, Technology, Information Technologies, Audio/Visual & Acoustical projects that may arise on a moments notice.

Metropolitan Technologies has been chosen by the Township to assist in all of their telephony needs. This includes an evaluation of the current voice systems for the Township, and the specifying of a new  voice solution. In addition Metropolitan Technologies will be reviewing selected carrier information to assist the Township in lowering their telephone costs.

As the Prime Consultant on this project, Metropolitan Technologies assembled and coordinated a team of Engineers and Architects to provide a solution to expand a working data center that handles the Township record keeping, all Police 911 communications, and hosts the School District’s servers. Woodbridge Township is New Jersey's fifth largest municipality. Metropolitan Technologies designed the infrastructure and also provided Construction Management to meet the logistical challenge of expanding this live 24/7 mission-critical facility in a technology-rich environment. This is a repeat client for the people on the MT team who also served this township with another firm in prior years.

Middlesex Borough is constructing a new 12,000 square foot municipal building, which will also house the MIddlesex Borough Police Department.

Metropolitan Technologies' services will consist of Cabling Infrastructure Design to include cabling pathway design and coordination, equipment room planning and coordination, and voice/data/video cabling system design; design of Audiovisual systems for conference rooms, meeting rooms, training rooms, and Police dispatch area; Security Systems Design to include coordination of access procedures with technology systems, Access Control and Alarm Monitoring System, Closed Circuit TV and Digital Recording Systems, and design of a Security Command Console; and Information Systems Consulting and Design to include LAN/WAN Systems, wireless network systems, selection and configuration of PBX, voicemail, and messaging systems as well as user equipment, and specification of call accounting system.

Metropolitan Technologies is now acting as the right of way council for the Township of Woodbridge, New Jersey on all matters that pertain to carrier buildouts throughout the Township. Metropolitan Technologies' role is to evaluate all fiber and wireless buildouts for the Township and advise them on the technical concerns about the vendor's proposed construction. With review of all applications for Carriers or CLEC's building out facilities within the Township, it provides them with a better opportunity to improve the community through technology and communications. This is a continuous on-call contract where Metropolitan Technologies bills only for the time used. The base contract is known as a Time Card. To date, Metropolitan Technologies has been able to help the Township succeed by negotiating carrier donated communications facilities to benefit first responders and helping to meet the ever growing infrastructure demands.
